Cables & MC4 Connectors
Inspection for UV damage, rodent bites and overheating; torque-tightening of terminals and replacing burnt or mismatched MC4 connectors - a common hidden cause of arcs.
Earth Pit Testing
Annual 4-pin earth resistance test; target about 1 ohm for system earth (IS 3043) and 10 ohm or less for lightning earth (IS 2309), plus pit watering and repair.
Lightning Arrester & SPD
Checking LA continuity and down-conductors, and DC/AC surge protection device (SPD) status windows - monthly and after every thunderstorm.
